PELLETS TO POISON !!!

Nature mother !
Doesn't need another !!

Hello Readers !!!

We may use many things in our day to day life. In those, 80 - 85% are plastics. It's not good for us from its source to destination. Though we have enough awarness about it, we can't control its usage.

This is a blog which explains about some facts about plastic bottles. Even, it have some advantages. Most of the children carry those bottles while they are going to school. Even we too drink in those bottles when we are out. Intake quantity may be more when we drink in those bottles. So, the body will be active for the day. It's just one side. We may not aware of the other.

Lets see the way of plastic travelled. First, in 1907, Leo Baekeland, a New York scientist, coined the term "Plastics". Then, in 1973, Nathaniel Wyeth, an American Mechanical Engineer, invented the Plastic bottles. Plastics has its major chemical content as Polyethylene Terapthalate (PET). Mostly plastic objects are non-transparent. But we may note that plastic bottles are transparent. The main reason behind it is a chemical called Bisphenol A (BPA).

Plastics consists of 7 types. This can be identified by a triangle symbol which will be available at the bottom of each plastic object. Those triangles consists of numbers 1 to 7. With that numbers, manufacturing chemicals may vary.

An average of 1 million water bottles will be sold for a minute. The water bottle market all over the world is at its peak now a days.Annually, an average of 200 billion dollars revenue is generated only because of water bottles. The growth keep on increasing 9% annually. After 2019, there will be an 10% annual growth to reach 350 billion dollars in 2023. The contribution of India is about 24.1 billion dollars. There will be a 20.05% annual growth to reach 60.06 billion dollars in 2023.

Handle with care"

It may also affect human health in several ways. In short, it's a slow poison. The continuous usage of plastics may lead to liver and kidneys related problems. High usage of it may lead to early puberty, hyperactive disorder to children. It may also affect pregnant women. It is recommended to pregnant women, not to use type 7 water bottles. Meanwhile, World Health Organization (WHO) shows no evidence for the contamination of human health. The research is still in progress.

"If you use plastic,
your health will be drastic"

Animals too get affected heavily by plastics. Marine animals are affected specifically. Sharks, Whales, Sea Birds and Sea Turtles are mostly affected. Plastics dumped in the ocean release some harmful chemicals. The creatures are always attracted to those plastics because it smell like their food. Though the animals die, the plastics inside their body will not decay. An average of one million animals died because of plastics. A statistics says that every new born creature in the ocean will have plastics in their body. At present, there are 5.25 trillion micro and macro plastic particles are in the ocean. It weighs about 2,69,000 tonnes. According to many statistics, the number of plastic particles will be more than the number of fishes within this year.

"Put waste in the right place
Not in the nature's face"

The control is in our hands. For example, we can avoid buying of water bottles from outside, improper disposal of water bottles. Instead, we can carry separate steel water bottle, we can dispose water bottles properly in waste bin. We can use cotton bags by avoiding plastic bags. Only by doing this, we can control this to some extent. These small actions will give a big change in future.
